2. Information We Process

Our application processes minimal data strictly necessary to provide emotion-driven audio recommendations and volume enhancement:

• Emotion & Situation Prompts: Text entered by users (such as "I am feeling sad because I miss my friends") is analyzed in real-time to generate relevant search terms for music, Nasheeds, Naats, Ghazals, and poetry. Prompts are processed ephemerally and are not associated with personal user identifiers.
• Local Favorites & Mood History: Your saved playlists and recent mood sessions are stored locally on your device via SharedPreferences / local device sandbox.
• Anonymous Diagnostic Data: Standard crash reports and device operating metrics (e.g. Android OS version, device model) to maintain audio stability and hardware compatibility.

3. Device Permissions & Purpose

MoodSync AI requests only explicit permissions required for media playback and audio enhancement:

• FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK & FOREGROUND_SERVICE: Required under Android 14+ guidelines to maintain continuous audio playback and display lock-screen/notification media controls when the screen is turned off or the app is minimized.
• MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS: Required for the hardware-level Volume Booster and 5-band Equalizer DSP (LoudnessEnhancer).
• INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to query AI mood synthesis APIs and stream audio/video content.
• WAKE_LOCK: Prevents the device CPU from suspending while active audio streams are playing.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

The application integrates reputable third-party SDKs to facilitate AI processing and monetization:

• Groq LLM AI Engine: Processes natural language text to infer sentiment, cultural nuances, and search queries over secure HTTPS.
• Public Content & YouTube Services: Audio and video streams are retrieved from publicly available media endpoints adhering to standard API protocols.
• Google AdMob: We may display rewarded video ads (e.g. to unlock the Volume Booster DSP) and non-intrusive banners. Google AdMob may collect pseudonymous device advertising identifiers (AAID) in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

MoodSync AI is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. Because all mood history, favorites, and preference settings reside locally on your device, you have complete control over your data. You can delete all application data and history at any time by clearing the app data in your Android Settings or by uninstalling the application.

All network communications between the mobile application and AI recommendation endpoints are encrypted using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS). No unencrypted data is transmitted.
